Trim ties.

The support tubing could be made from 2X2 square tubing or any sized you have handy. Just remember that weight will be a factor. With some 1X2 inch tubing and a few flat plates and some half inch bolts welded together I ended up with a pretty nice rifle rest. Check out this homemade Rifle Rest. I decided I don't care for recoil so I built this. I designed it so that I can clamp it to the bench lightly (two squeeze clamps) get it on target then clamp tight and be right on the money for the shot and let the rest and the bench take all the recoil. There are 4 bolts going through the front and wing nuts.

Step 1: The Build Up. i Used a 28 inch long Rectangle pc of metal tubing for the body. On one end i welded a 4 inch pc Going up. This is the Back support and i also welded two triangle Pcs For extra strength. On the bottom of the back support i pt a 1 inch long nut and a long Bolt to adjust the Back Up and Down.
