First pan-fry the tofu. Next, out with the tofu and in with the artichoke hearts. Then the artichoke hearts come out and you simmer your sauce ingredients: garlic, white wine and lemon juice. Back in with the tofu and artichoke hearts, and in with some pasta and seasonings. Toss everything together. And that's it! Dig in.

Heat olive oil in a large pan and place the tofu seasoned side down. Sprinkle the remaining spices on the top. Cook over medium high heat for 3-5 minutes per side until golden. Remove tofu. Melt the earth balance in the same pan. Add onion. Cook until translucent.

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Press tofu by placing it on a plate covered with 3 layers of paper towels. Cover the tofu with 3 more layers of paper towels and put a weight on top. (I use a large can from the cupboard.) Press it for 30-60 minutes, changing paper towels if needed. Then pat the tofu dry and slice into 1-inch cubes.

Tofu & Zucchini Scampi with hearts of palm Plant Craft

Preparation. Heat a large 12-inch skillet over medium. Melt the butter and oil, then add the shallot, stirring until softened slightly, about 1 minute. Add the mushrooms and cook until the mushrooms are soft but still plump, 3 to 5 minutes. Add the garlic and toss until fragrant, 15 to 20 seconds.


Crispy Tofu

Ingredients: 2 tablespoons nori or dulse flakes 1 tablespoon miso 1 lb. firm tofu 2 tablespoons olive oil 1 tablespoon vegan margarine 1 tablespoons lemon juice 4-5 cloves garlic, finely sliced 2 large shallots 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes 1/2 cup dry white wine salt & pepper 1 handful fresh parsley, chopped

2 large shallots 3 cloves garlic 4 tbsp. vegan butter (such as Earth Balance) 5 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil 1 package firm tofu 1/2 tsp. red pepper flakes 3/4 cup dry white wine 1 lemon (zest & juice) Salt & pepper 1 handful fresh parsley Directions Cook the linguine according to the instructions on the package, and set aside.

Vegan scampi is a quick and easy weeknight meal that can be made in about 20 minutes. I love it with vegan shrimp. I find Loving Hut brand vegan shrimp in the frozen section of my local Asian market or I use king mushrooms to make my own homemade vegan shrimp.

Instructions. Drain and press tofu then cut into 8 triangles. dunk 1 at a time into egg mixture then dip into panko-set aside. In a large skillet-heat with olive oil to coat. add tofu and brown on each side remove from pan and place on paper towel. Add butter to pan with garlic and saute.
