'RMS Valiant' and its sibling maps are vaguely exploratory. They take place in the open ocean and you can look for the button that, over the period of a few minutes, sinks the ship. These maps also come with the sunken versions. Someone also mentioned in a horror-map-thread that rp_bangclaw takes some exploration before it gets fairly creepy.

It shouldn't be blocked and removed from gmod though if it has such a file. That's what the whitelist is really for, so you can't shove malicious files like DLLs in there (afaik). Even if the functionality for maps/*.png stops working in GMod, at least the addons will still actually load. That's my opinion on it anyway.
