BOWMANVILLE, ONT. — A worker has died in a workplace incident at St Marys Cement in Bowmanville this morning (March 21). According to media reports, the worker was found trapped just before 8:30 a.m. and removed with "vital signs absent.". EMS attended the site, located at 400 Bowmanville Ave., and pulled the worker out.

The Ministry of Labour has issued two orders to St Mary's Cement in Bowmanville after the incident. "We can confirm that on the morning of Tuesday, March 21, a third-party contractor was involved in an accident and succumbed to fatal injuries while working at the site," a spokesperson from St Marys Cement told the Daily Commercial News in an email.
