The name is probably descriptive. Fishing is the most important economic activity. The island is the site of the world's 3 largest lobster pounds.

How to Get to Campobello Island. There is a ferry connecting Deer Island to Campobello Island. This ferry takes approximately 30 minutes and runs every hour on the half (STC) Deer Island-Campobello Island Ferry Schedule here. The cost was approximately $32 for a family of 4 and the car to go one way.
